Brenda Barrios is an interdisciplinary artist currently attending  YALE University for a master’s degree in the Yale School of  Art. She graduated from UCLA School of Arts and School of Arts and Architecture, with a BA in the Department of  Art, with a minor in Art Education. Brenda is from Pasadena, California, Brenda is a first-generation Latina nontraditional with a disability student. Her artistic pursuit began as a Fashion major and painter at Pasadena City College and currently incorporates her sewing skills in her sculpture-making. Her Art practice includes installations, performances, music production, kinetic and robotics, large sculptures, and costume design, paintings. Her work investigates themes about disability and education disparities, immigrant family identity, and queerness.
